Program Assistant

The McHenry County Adult Program (McCAP) needs a compassionate, creative, patient and hard working Program Assistant to help an awesome group of differently-abled young adults be their Best Selves.
Use your compassion to anticipate and interpret non-verbal needs and environmental challenges. Employ your creativity to help our students wholly enjoy community field trips, art projects, fundraisers and music therapy. Your patience will be instrumental in assisting with feeding, toileting and behavioral modification. And it takes hard work to ensure our unique and vibrant students are motivated, protected and enthusiastic about the next Great Day.
Current hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9AM-3PM, with possible expansion as we welcome more students into our day program.
Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent to apply. Hourly compensation will be based on education and experience. Bi-lingual applicants welcome.
